ME

Jimmy Skovgard

Hello readers:

Maybe this is all about me after all. Why have I chosen to take action? What could I possibly do to make a difference, and will it really matter? These are questions we all ask ourselves. For me, the answer lies in integrity and empathy—two principles that bear no negative connotations and guide my every step forward.

Personal Inspiration
One of the pivotal moments that motivated me to take action was a conversation with “Myna” (a pseudonym for privacy), an 89-year-old woman I connected with while seeking truth. During one of our chats, she said something that struck me deeply:

“Do you think we’re better off now than we were when Trump was president? I don’t think so. At least I’m not. We hardly have enough money to buy groceries some months, and sometimes I have to go without. That never happened before.”

I began reflecting on the broader implications of policies, but her words brought me back to the heart of the matter: the human cost of inaction. She reminded me of the real cost of politics—real lives, real struggles, and real sacrifices. Myna’s story inspired me to take meaningful action, ensuring that no one is left behind, left without food and shelter, or left unheard in our democracy unless it’s by their own choice. So inspired, I got involved. I am forging my path forward with integrity. I started a new political action committee based on seeking out and supporting integrity in politics. This is the way for me. I now work for everyone, even those we left behind or cast out, those who are hungry and those who are struggling to keep up. I am now working for you.

No longer can I identify as a republican—no longer am I an individualist. I will not tolerate a lack of integrity in politics. I am a force for unity. Join the U-PAC movement where integrity comes first. I’ve heard the phrase “With Liberty and Justice for All” somewhere… Unity is my goal.

Politics
As a fifth-generation immigrant, I emphasize our shared humanity and collective responsibility to protect the democratic values our ancestors fought to establish. I believe in providing everyone with a level playing field where they can make and live their desired choices. Labels that divide or denigrate have no place in our society. Yet, they persist, weakening the very fabric of our democracy. It is time to reject these labels and focus on what unites us—our shared humanity and collective responsibility. I am striving to find that society; not of us vs. them, but one simply of “us,” all of us. It is human nature to label others, especially if they differ from us in some way. So I am asking everyone, reject the insta-label mentality and think and apply the golden rule when dealing with others. Reject leadership which manipulates others, reject those using labels for their own gain.

Me
I am a resident of Casper, Wyoming, actively engaged in political reform through my leadership role in U-PAC, a political action committee. I serve as the treasurer and custodian of records for U-PAC, a political action committee based in Casper, officially registered with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on December 5, 2024.

Early Life
I grew up in the small communities of Greybull – Basin, Wyoming, where I attended grade school and high school. My academic journey took me to the University of Wyoming, where I pursued studies in Math, Science, Spanish, and History, earning a Bachelor’s degree in History. I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Wyoming Army National Guard through ROTC; I served 12 years and attained the rank of captain before receiving an honorable discharge. I have always taken my oath to support and defend the Constitution seriously, and I hold little respect for leaders who fail to demonstrate integrity or concern for others.

“This We’ll Defend.”

Professional Life
After graduating in 1991, I began my career as an environmental technician with Trihydro Corp in Laramie, Wyoming. A job where I gathered firsthand knowledge of how unregulated pollution impacts everyday citizens. Effective government regulations are essential to protect communities from industrial pollution. We cannot rely on corporations to self-regulate when profits often take precedence over public health. After nine years, I ventured out on my own, founding Anchor Environmental AAA Services. While Anchor thrived for many years, operations ceased in 2015 due to a downturn in oil production and a legal dispute with a major creditor. For the next few years, I took on various projects, searching for a way to make a meaningful impact. That opportunity came in September 2024 when I was inspired by Republican Voters Against Trump to take action. By late 2024, U-PAC was born, and I’ve dedicated myself to building an organization committed to integrity, truth, transparency, and ethical leadership. My professional experiences have taught me the importance of systematic processes that prioritize integrity, fairness, and efficiency—values I strive to bring to U-PAC. These principles reflect my belief in creating transparency and accountability at every level of leadership and governance.

Family Life
At the heart of everything I do is my family. My wife, Beverly, and I have raised four sons who are now forging their own paths, leaving us as proud empty nesters. Beverly works tirelessly for the city of Casper, where her dedication has made a positive difference in our community.

Their unwavering support has been my greatest source of strength. Beverly’s commitment to her work and our shared values inspires me daily, while our sons remind me of the responsibility we all share to leave the world better than we found it. My family’s encouragement fuels my dedication to U-PAC and the mission to build a democracy rooted in truth, integrity, and justice.

Together
I refuse to accept the notion that nothing matters. Beverly and I are committed to leaving a legacy of integrity, service, and unwavering dedication to our community and our country. Through U-PAC, I hope to inspire others to take action, uphold their values, and fight for a democracy rooted in truth, unity, and justice. Together, we can build a democracy where truth, integrity, and unity are at the forefront—a legacy that will endure for generations to come.
